I know its been forever since I've blogged. I don't really know where to start.
The last significant thing I haven't blogged about was Leilani cutting off her beautiful hair I want to say November 5th lol...... Lucky Michelle came to the rescue! She had agreed with me that it had to be evened out and cut into some type of bob. I haven't transferred the pictures of that eventful night because I packed the camera cord in my hospital bag and frankly....I'm just too lazy to go get it. So her hair is short! Her hair actually reminds me of Denice's :) I guess she just wants to be like her Grandma Nice.
Hmmm... let's see... Thanksgiving was cool. We went to two. One was held at my house for my side of the family. It was choatic and a little overwhelming because my grandparents invited a lot of people who I wasn't aware of. So that was awesome............Anyways at the end of the night it was great because we played some Mahjong and ate some leftovers in peace.
So we scheduled our first family portraits on that Friday but poor T had a really bad eye situation I think from his contacts....sad! We rescheduled so he would be able to open his eyes for the pictures lol.
That following Saturday we went to Denice's for Thanksgiving. It was sooo WEIRD without her there since it was at her home and all and she wasn't there.....
Anyways I had an appointment November 30. I was having some cramping that weekend and it turned out that I'm 1cm dilated and my cervix is thinned out at 50%. So my aunt/doctor said I could probably go early and to just take it easy until I can at least make it until 37 weeks when the baby is considered full term.
Later on that night Leilani and I picked up grandma from the airport and had some dinner and bonded! It was soo exciting! Leilani ran to Grandma's arms screaming her name.. it was soo cute. We brought her back to take a peek at the new house renovations to the living room and she saw the new baby room up close!

Well we took family pictures at Sears because we got this free offer thing. I never want to go back there again lol The girl who was taking our pictures was just off. She made weird pose positions and every time she was bending or knelling to reposition Lani...she had a 2 inch plumber crack showing.....it was disgust....
Anyways Sears doesn't have the greatest picture taking skills But these were the best:

We put our Christmas tree up that day as well! It was super fun. T tried to put up our lights and after he did the first string, he plugged it in and found out that a few sections were not lighting up...poor guy was out there and it was dark.... and cold so I told him to try another day! But here's our tree:
I had my pamper party this past Saturday! It was cool, super chill,...I loved it. Michelle gave some cute stuff as usual! :) So did Grandma Nice. Gave a cute lil outfit. My mom made me a couple of diaper cakes which we're sooo cute! She sort of spoiled the surprise and showed me how they looked before the party because since it was her first time making them she wanted to make sure they we're cute lol.... Idk why she doubted her mad skills but she did and I kinda felt sad that she spoiled it for me lol.
My moms diaper cakes:
Note: this picture doesn't show the left diaper cake complete,...it had yellow confetti string stuff that hid the top of the cake...you get the idea...i loved it!
I didn't take any pictures of my pamper party, but a friend took a few and I'm waiting for him to post them and I'll update the blog when he does.
Anyways T had a flag football playoff game this past Saturday...first game I missed all season because it conflicted with arriving to the pamper party on time. They won! it was a great game that I missed so I was sad I missed it! Anyways the have another this coming Saturday and if they win the play for championship an hour or so later. So cross your fingers they make it!
Later that evening I sort of organized T a man night with his friends. Since I can go into labor any time now I decided I better cut him a break now because I'' need and want him by my side once she's here. So he had an eventful night and was pretty stoked. So was his friends that the got to have him all to themselves with no "supervision" lol......
Well I got to have my own girls night out! Denice, Michelle, Rachael, and I went for appetizers at Applebee's and took Denice to Breaking Dawn. (Nat! I'm so not trying to rub it in,...we missed you and wished you could've come as well!) (Steph? do you watch the twilight movies?) It would've been nice to have all my sister-in-laws there but other than that it was a fun outing!
So me and T finally came up with a name together and agreed on it the last day of November so we announced our daughter's name at the party, so Nat since you weren't able to be there and hear it for yourself. Here it is!:
Lyla Rayne Sanders
(Lie-la. Rain. Sanders)

Vik, lo-lo-love the post! So honored that I got to be in it! And a lot! Your house is totally adorable. I love Lyla's room and especially the cute painting. And probably my fav Christmas decor is the candles in the glass with the red beads. It looks so swanky! The fam pics are so cute too! If you see Santa, tell him I would love one to hang on my wall! Last, but not least, I had the best time at the get together with the girls. So fun and relaxing. And I really liked the movie. So it's a date. Next year. Same place, same time. Part 2. :)
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute!! Love the name, Love the house, Love the pictures! We miss you all. I just finished up my last project for little Lyla, so I will be mailing the package this week!! Haven't seen the movie yet, I figure I'll just wait till it comes out... So... no one say anything about it! I didn't even know that they broke it into 2 movies... crazy! Anyone, give hugs to everyone for us, we will have to skype again sometime soon it was fun seeing you all on your Thanksgiving Day at Denice's!
